EO Charging administration: what owners need to know
EO Charging's operating company entered administration on 8 April 2026. If you own an EO Mini Pro 3, it should keep charging and the ev.energy app should keep working, but the manufacturer warranty is effectively gone and nobody has published a repair route for installed home units.

What happened to EO Charging
Juuce Ltd, which traded as EO Charging, entered administration on 8 April 2026, when joint administrators from PwC were appointed.1 The company had engaged PwC on 23 January 2026 and run an accelerated sale process, approaching about 90 parties. On 30 March the only party that had made a solvent offer withdrew, and the directors concluded the company could not pay its debts as they fell due.2

Who bought what
Three companies hold pieces of EO, and none of them has taken responsibility for installed home units.
| Company | What it got | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Cogent Technology | EO’s hardware platform and manufacturing business, announced 3 Nov 2025 | Has published no consumer warranty or repair policy, as at August 2026 per EV-ON.9 |
| Pod Point Limited (an EDF subsidiary) | EO Cloud fleet and depot software, goodwill and business information, for £500,000 in total | Pod says fleet and depot customers get uninterrupted service. It has told an installer it does not support the Mini Pro 3.4 |
| ev.energy | Not a purchase. It has run the Mini Pro 3 app and smart-charging back end since the 2025 migration | Its EO support pages were live on 10 October 2026. We found no statement from ev.energy since the administration.8 |
What each buyer got and what it means for a Mini Pro 3 owner.
Will my EO Mini Pro 3 still work?
As far as we can tell, yes. The Mini Pro 3 is a plug-and-charge unit, and units migrated in 2025 talk to ev.energy’s own OCPP server rather than to EO’s. The ev.energy app and support pages were live on 10 October 2026, though its EO articles were last edited in October 2025.8 Hive and British Gas customers control their unit through the Hive app.
There are known problems. After the August 2025 move to ev.energy, owners reported on forums that units were flashing green and not charging, needing repeated reboots and a strong Wi-Fi signal. EO’s migration FAQ says connectivity-related engineer visits are not covered by warranty.7 Octopus lists every EO model as not available for Intelligent Octopus Go at charger level, so owners on that tariff rely on a compatible car.16
Some things we cannot answer. We do not know whether any unit that was not migrated in 2025 still points at EO Cloud, which is now owned by Pod, or whether it would keep working. We do not know whether the Mini Pro 3 will get further firmware updates, or whether Cogent will honour warranties on units EO sold.
What to do now
Keep using it, and keep the paperwork. Hold on to your invoice, EO warranty registration and installer certificate. You need them for any claim and for insurance. Do not assume Pod will fix it: Pod bought the fleet software, not the home hardware.
Assume the manufacturer warranty is gone. The 3-year warranty was given by Juuce Ltd, so a claim is an unsecured claim in the administration. The administrators estimate under 1p in the pound for unsecured creditors.2
Use the other routes. If Hive or British Gas supplied your unit, contact Hive first: it says it is the first point of contact for warranty, which is three years with a British Gas install and two years charger-only.12 Your installer’s own workmanship guarantee may cover the fitting. If you paid by credit card for an item costing over £100 and up to £30,000, a Section 75 claim against the card provider can apply when the seller has failed, even if only part of the cost went on the card. The main cardholder must claim and the chain of purchase must be direct.11 Any qualified EV engineer can also repair or replace the unit.
If the app ever stops. The Mini Pro 3 speaks OCPP 1.6J, and an installer can change the back-office address in its local settings.13 Monta lists it as supported hardware, so it can in principle be moved to a third-party platform.14
Replacing an EO Mini Pro 3
If the unit fails, budget for replacement rather than repair, because no manufacturer repair route exists. A like-for-like replacement costs £899 to £999 fitted on current published prices: £899 for the Easee One, £949 for the Ohme ePod and £999 for the Pod Solo 3S, all with a standard installation and without a cable on the untethered units. For Intelligent Octopus Go, the Ohme ePod is generally available at charger level, the Easee One is in testing and the Pod has no charger-level support. Our best home EV chargers page ranks the options, and the Ohme ePod review covers the one we would start with.
Do not buy a new Mini Pro 3. Stock is being run down, with Rapid Online listing the tethered unit as discontinued.17 The What Car? 2025 owner survey, on a page marked as sponsored by Pod, ranked EO last of 11 brands, with a 38% fault rate and 61% of reported problems not fixed.15 Our own EO Mini Pro 3 review sets out the details. Hive and British Gas now fit a different charger, the Sync Energy Wall Charger 2.12
